Black Skin, White Tongues
It’s disturbing how innumerable black parents believe that teaching their kids English, in some way or another, doubles the kids’ chances of success. Whatever that is.
Some even, subtly, brag about how their kid cannot speak their mother tongue.
The servants in the making are taught the master’s lingo from a very young age.
(But, be that as it may, I know countless broke blacks who are fluent in English.)
