Employed Employers
Technically, the government is an employee made of
employees.
The government is elected (i.e., “hired”) by the people.
But, for some strange reason, “the people” treat the government (or rather: those in power) as if the government is doing them a favour.
Whereas the opposite should actually be.
(Maybe it is because, in this case, it is “the employee” that has the money.)
