Faith and Rituals
The most important thing in a doer’s life, is their faith in doing the to be done.
Whether or not eating a cheetah’s paws will make you run faster on Sunday, doesn’t really matter. What matters is that you believe that you will run faster, come Sunday.
Rituals are there merely to breed faith. It’s the faith that matters, not the cheetah’s paws, the river that people are baptized in, or the blood that some people wash with.
Multitudes tweet tweets with “Dear God, … ” yet God has no internet connection.
(At the core of a ritual lies the very same principal that governs placebos.)
