The f.Law of History

What we call history today, was once a today; meaning that it too had its own history.

In 1828, the then living obsessed about the things that happened in, say, 1486 — while they sort of ignored the things that were happening in 1828, their then today.

Today were are subtly persuaded to obsess about the things that happened in 1828.

We are now ignoring what is happening today, while we learn about the things that happened in 1828. Yet, the things that are happening today will be 2098′s history.

(So, contrary to popular belief, knowing where one comes from doesn’t really tell one where one is going. Knowing where one comes from merely tells one where one is.)
