The Lifespan of an Opinion

To add to the ones that I’ve covered before. Another of our flaws, as Homo sapiens, is our attachment to opinions that we once publicly liberated.

At the core of an opinion lies knowledge (information: known and unknown), and, one’s level of thinking.

But, as one goes through life, one grows. Intellectually, and, knowledge-wise.

Which then makes a change of a belief, an assertion, or, an opinion, probable.

The problem is that one’s credibility will somehow be threatened; if one now advocates an opinion opposing one that he stood by yesterday. Inevitably, most people defend opinions they defended yesterday. Even when they have new information that proves the falsity of the opinion that they defended yesterday.

(So, it is silly to expect someone to defend an opinion they had yesterday, today.)
