The Paradox of Sacrates’s Words

Socrates, an ancient Athenian philosopher, is widely quoted saying that,

“True knowledge exists in knowing that you know nothing.”

I know that it’s possible that I might be missing the point, but, isn’t knowing that you don’t know, knowledge in itself?

Meaning that knowing that you don’t know anything, makes that very awareness or knowledge, something.

(Isn’t this akin to choosing not to choose, being a choice in itself?)
