The Problem with Mediocrity


Graphic designers, copywriters, marketers, etc., who are second-rate; do not really see themselves and/or their work as “second-rate.”

Their patrons, clients with second-rate design, slogans, marketing strategies, etc., are not really aware that their design, slogan, or marketing strategy is second-rate.

The challenge is: how the hell does a first-rate cook sell a plate of food to people who aren’t even aware that they are starving?

(To up the odds of one finding a job; one must first realize that they’re unemployed.)
