Well, It Depends …
In this our world of ours, filled with opinions, subjectivity and relativity, it’s either everybody is right or we’re all wrong.
Although, in almost all cases, I decide not to say it, but whenever I’m asked a question, “Well, it depends…” is the prefix to all responses I utter.
“Is this a good logo?”
Well, it depends on the ambition of the design brief.
“Do I look good in this?”
Well, it depends on your definition of good-looking.
“Is branding necessary?”
Well, it depends on your definition of a necessity.
“Are your offices far from the mall?
Well, it depends on how far is your far.
“Is so-and-so the best this and that?”
Well, that depends on your definition of this and that, and of best.
You might be of a “normal” height as compared to people in your neighbourhood, but be regarded a dwarf when visit your friend on the other side of the world.
Everything depends on something.
That’s is why trying to please everybody is nothing but a waste of time.
(For there are boring people who find interesting people boring.)
